Where do I even start when it comes to telling you about Carrie and Taylor’s wedding? This was honestly one of my favorite weddings I’ve been a part of, because it was so heartfelt and Carrie and Taylor have one of the best love stories I’ve heard. Read on to see what makes their love story so special.

5 years ago on Christmas morning, Taylor was involved in a serious car accident and suffered a traumatic brain injury. Taylor was put into a medically induced coma, and the doctors informed his family that they were unsure if he would wake up, or what state he would be in if he did.

Thanks to God’s healing power, Taylor woke up from that coma, and while the accident did take most of his vision, he is still able to walk, talk, and do many of the things he loves. Though this is something that no-one ever wants to experience, Taylor has taken this event and used it to motivate and inspire others. He does not let his vision loss hold him back from doing the things he loves. He now spends much of his time speaking at churches, schools, etc. to share his story. Taylor is one of the most inspiring people I have met. Taylor has been through so much in the last five years, but he continues to have a positive outlook on life, and speak about God’s goodness.

One day, Taylor found his way to Swift Creek Elementary, where Carrie works. After his speech at the school, he and Carrie connected on social media, and the rest is history. These two have been through a ton of ups and downs these past few years, and it is absolutely amazing to hear how God crossed their paths and brought them together. Seeing the way that Carrie looks at Taylor made my heart so happy. You could just see the love in her eyes every time she looked at him, and how happy he made her.

This weekend they promised each other forever, exactly two years after their first date. Their wedding was held in Richmond Virginia, at The Dominion Club. We were so honored to travel up for their special day, and witness such a beautiful love story. Thank you so much Taylor and Carrie for allowing us to spend this special day with you. We wish you all of the love and happiness in the world!

Carrie honored her dog Izzy by attaching the color she ordered for her to be in the wedding to her bridal bouquet. This was such a sweet memorial to her beloved pup <3

Taylor is a coffee fanatic (just like me!) So they had a coffee and hot chocolate bar for guests to enjoy after the ceremony, and I loved this sweet idea!!
