The Venue | St Augustine River House
The River House in St Augustine is one of the best locations you can choose for your special day. Imagine saying “I do” as the sun sets over the water in the nations oldest city while your guests enjoy a view of the Matanzas River and the St Augustine lighthouse in the background. Not only does the River House provide a stunning waterfront ceremony location, but the reception space is equally as beautiful. The grand ballroom at the River House gives you a gorgeous view of the outdoor landscape thanks to the tall windows, and the high ceilings are perfect for hanging drapes and string lights to pull the whole space together. The River House in St Augustine also has a stunning library for some great couples photos (even if it rains!) Overall, this is one of the best venues in St Augustine. It is centrally located, offers an ideal backdrop, and has a wonderful staff to answer all of your questions!
The Couple
Michelle and Tommy…. There is so much I could say about these two and their wedding day, but I would spend all day trying to describe how amazing they are. Let me just tell you guys, couples and weddings like this are what keep us going. The energy of this wedding day was insane, and I am honestly so thankful we got to be part of this. Let me tell you a little bit about how amazing these two are.
Michelle and Tommy were originally supposed to wed many months ago, but after everything that happened in 2020, they came to the difficult decision to postpone their big day. I knew that Michelle was an incredible person when she did everything in her power to make sure that the new date worked for ALL of her originally booked vendors, but what I didn’t know is that she was even working behind the scenes to make sure that some of Tommy’s groomsmen were accommodated as well. Michelle is one of those people that is so selfless and does everything she can to make other people happy. When we were listening to Tommy’s best man give his speech at the wedding, we realized how gracious Michelle was in not only working with her vendor’s schedules but even up until the week of her wedding, she was rearranging the wedding day timeline to make sure that Tommy’s best man could be included in everything.
Their whole day was filled with laughter, tears, and so many special moments. The whole bridal party felt like a huge family, and we honestly feel like we walked away from their wedding with new friends. And don’t even get me started about the energy on the dance floor when the party started. When the bride is crying tears of happiness because everyone around her is so happy, you know it was a good day. Anyway, since I feel like I will never have the words to fully describe how wonderful their day was… I will let these images do the rest of the talking <3
