For as long as I can remember I have dreamt of photographing a beautiful Lake Como wedding surrounded by the beautiful landscapes. When Tiffany and Stephen asked me to photograph their Lake Como elopement I could have died. If you know me well, you know destination weddings truly have my heart, and I love discovering new places with my couples and photographing their love story in the most epic spots. Lake Como was indescribable. I am dying to go back already. If you’re planning a Lake Como Wedding, I hope their day gives you some great inspiration for yours!

Location One | Lezzeno, Italy

The first stop of Tiffany and Stephen’s elopement day was their airbnb in Lezzeno. If you’re planning a Lake Como elopement, Lezzeno is the perfect town to stay in to be just far enough from the busier towns of Bellagio and Como, while also being close enough to easily get to the surrounding villages.

Tiffany had a great hair and makeup team glam her up while I photographed her details. These custom vow books were the perfect added detail to their special day! After they were ready, we hopped into our private transportation and were driven to Bellagio where we boarded a taxi boat to take us to Villa Balbianello.

Exchanging Vows at Villa Balbianello

Villa Balbianello is situated at the top of a hill and only accessible by boat. This location is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Italy. Standing by the stone wall, overlooking the lake with the mountains in the distance is an incredible sight. If you are looking for a wedding venue in Italy that truly makes you feel like you just stepped into a fairytale, this is the place.

A Boat Tour of Lake Como

After the exchange of vows, we embarked on a 3 hour tour of the beautiful lake by Como Classic Boats. This tour was a BLAST! When we hopped on the boat, the captain had champagne and a blanket waiting for our couple, so they gave it a pop and celebrated officially being newlyweds! During the tour, our guide drove us by all of the huge estates owned by celebrities and told us all about the lake, the homes, etc. Then of course, as the sun started to dip behind the mountains, it was time to take some couples portraits on the boat.

After we concluded the tour, our captain dropped everyone back off in Lezzeno and our couple enjoyed their first dinner as a married couple at the aurora restaurant, with a view of the lake and mountains. This day truly was something out of this world. I hope to be back in Italy very soon for our next destination wedding!
