You know those couples that you meet and just feel like they were absolutely made for each other? The ones that seem to have such a natural chemistry and are completely smitten with each other? That is exactly what Nicole and Bart embody. These two have hearts of gold, the sweetest personalities, and a love that is straight out of a fairytale. We were SO honored to capture their day at the beautiful St Johns Golf and Country Club. It was a celebration filled with style, charm, and a whole lot of fun, despite the rainy weather.
The Venue | St Johns Golf and Country Club
Nicole and Bart got married at a stunning golf and country club located in Jacksonville, Florida. The plan was to say their “I dos” on the beautiful rolling greenery of the golf course, but mother nature had other plans. When the rain decided to pour on their wedding day, the staff at St Johns set up an indoor ceremony in front of the beautiful picture windows of the ballroom. Honestly, there is no bad spot for a ceremony here at St Johns! Even with the rain, Nicole and Bart had a STUNNING ceremony in the ballroom. We truly cant recommend this venue and staff enough! They worked all night with a smile on their face, were flexible when the rain came, and also did an AMAZING job on the food! If you are looking for a place to host your wedding in Jacksonville, look no further.
After the ceremony was over, the wonderful staff at St Johns quickly flipped the room and turned it into the reception of Nicole and Bart’s dreams while we took them around the property for their bride and groom photos. Even with the dreary weather, we got so many great photos of these two, including some of them dancing in the rain! As a wedding photographer in Jacksonville, we are no strangers to making the best of any sort of crazy weather! These two were truly down for anything and it was so refreshing to see a couple just roll with the punches and live in the moment.
The Style | Black and White Elegance
Nicole, an absolute vision in her elegant white gown, and Bart, looking so dapper in his sharp black tux, set the tone for a wedding that oozed timeless class. Their choice of black and white colors was pure sophistication!
But what really made their day pop were the little details. We’re talking about drink toppers that screamed personality and welcome champagne that made every guest feel like VIPs. Nicole and Bart knew how to make their guests feel special, right from the get-go. These unique wedding details truly set the tone of a wedding day, and show your guests how much thought truly went into planning your perfect day.
The Reception | Laughter, Tears, and Everything in Between
Nicole and Bart’s reception in the ballroom was full of special moments, crazy moves on the dance floor, and a band that rocked the house all night long. Speeches were shared, laughter filled the air, and the guests filled the dance floor to celebrate the beginning of Nicole and Barts new life together as a married couple.
Bold City Classics did a wonderful job entertaining the guests for the evening, and the St Johns Golf and Country Club staff made sure that each guest was taken care of from the dinner, to cleaning up spills on the dance floor, and even serving late night snacks to keep everyone full and happy all night!
In a nutshell, Nicole and Bart’s St. John’s Golf and Country Club wedding was a love-filled soiree’ for the ages. Their classic black and white theme, attention to fun details, and their amazing attitude in the face of unexpected rain made it a day nobody will forget.
As they start this new chapter in their lives, their wedding day is a reminder that life is not perfect, but it is all about laughing in the rain, dancing in the storm, and cherishing every moment. Cheers to Nicole and Bart! 🥂
