Bailey and Isaac’s wedding at Walker’s Landing on Amelia Island was nothing short of an adventure. Florida’s unpredictable weather decided to make a grand appearance, with a sudden downpour just minutes before their ceremony. But if there’s one thing that defines this couple, it’s their resilience and positivity. With the help of their incredible wedding planner, Within Weddings, the ceremony was seamlessly relocated indoors within 10 minutes, transforming the reception venue into a ceremony space.
As a Florida wedding photographer, I know first-hand how quickly rain can creep up and change the plans! But when you work with an incredible and professional wedding vendor team, we can quickly jump in and make changes. This way, the two of you can relax and know everything is being taken care of.
One of the sweetest moments of the day was Bailey’s first look with her brother, a moment so touching it brought him to tears. And let’s not forget the bride’s polka dot dress—such a fun and unique choice that perfectly matched her vibrant personality.
As a special nod to Isaac’s career as a pilot, the couple incorporated aviation-themed details throughout the day. Another meaningful touch was their unity ceremony, where they bound a Bible together—something I have never seen before but hope to see again! It was such a thoughtful way to create a lasting memory and keepsake.
Walker’s Landing, nestled on the marsh side of Amelia Island, was the perfect backdrop for Bailey and Isaac’s “Old Florida” themed wedding. This venue is a hidden gem that I absolutely adore! The natural beauty of the marsh and the stunning sunset views over the Intracoastal Waterway create a breathtaking setting for any wedding. The reception hall, with its hardwood floors, fieldstone fireplace, and surrounding windows, provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere that truly captures the essence of Old Florida charm.
Bailey and Isaac’s wedding was a celebration filled with personal touches and a whole lot of fun. From Hyppo popsicles—a local favorite—to a balloon artist, caricature artist, and one of our photo booths, their day was packed with activities that kept their guests entertained. The bluegrass band not only provided lively music but also taught everyone how to line dance, adding to the festive atmosphere.
The floral arrangements were a burst of color, featuring hot pink, blush, yellow, and peach blooms, complemented by the bridesmaids’ dusty blue dresses. The entire day was a perfect blend of tradition, personality, and pure joy.
Despite the rain, we captured stunning portraits on the porch of their Airbnb and made the most of every moment. This is when having a professional vendor team really matters—we were able to adapt and ensure the couple remained at ease and fully enjoyed their day while we handled the rest.
If you’re planning an Amelia Island wedding or considering Walker’s Landing as your venue, I’d love to be a part of your day. This venue is truly special, and it was an honor to capture the love and happiness of such a wonderful couple. Reach out, and let’s create something unforgettable together!
