Sofia & Richie’s Ritz Carlton Amelia Island Wedding Weekend

Sofia and Richie had a classic, romantic wedding day with timeless details at this iconic destination. We created a custom, 9-hour photography package that was perfect for their needs. Jewish-Argentinian Wedding Celebration

Richie and Sofia planned an incredible wedding day focused on spending time with their friends and family. They prioritized lots of family photos and incorporated aspects of both Richie’s Jewish heritage and Sofia’s Argentinian heritage.

To celebrate Richie’s Jewish heritage, they included the traditional breaking of the glass during their wedding ceremony. After they were announced as husband and wife, Richie stepped on a piece of glass to shatter it, symbolizing the fragility of relationships and the care we must take not to break them. They also included the traditional Jewish dance, The Horah, during the reception. During this dance, the bride and groom are lifted on chairs above the crowd as guests dance around them in a circle.

To honor Sofia’s Argentinian background, the couple included a Hora Loca during the wedding reception. Hora Loca translates to “Crazy Hour” and is a fun way to kick off the open dance floor. It involves high-energy music and props like hats, beads, and masks to get guests up and out of their seats. I had so much fun photographing all of these special moments and memorializing these traditions!

Ritz Carlton Amelia Island Wedding

I love working at the Ritz Carlton Amelia Island, and this wedding was no exception. The luxury hotel and wedding venue sits right above the sand dunes with incredible ocean views. It offers a variety of indoor or outdoor spaces for weddings of all sizes, plus incredible suites for you and your wedding party to get ready on-site. Of course, the Ritz is best known for its incredible five-star service and luxury dining experiences. I always know my couples are in good hands with their team. As a bonus, the venue is located right next to the Amelia Island Golf Club, where Sofia and Richie had their welcome dinner.
