Annie and Trevor planned a classic southern wedding weekend on St. Simons Island, off the coast of Georgia. As their wedding photographer, I had the privilege of capturing their love story over the entire weekend, starting with their pre-wedding events and building up to their breathtaking wedding day at The King and Prince Resort. Being by their side throughout the weekend was such an honor, and I’m so glad I could be a part of the celebration for such an incredible couple.
In the months leading up to their St. Simons wedding, I worked with Annie and Trevor to create a custom photography package for their entire wedding weekend. They had planned a variety of events leading up to their big day and wanted to ensure they had memorable photos of all of them.
We started the weekend with a sweet bridal brunch, during which Annie celebrated with all of her favorite women. Afterward, we headed to the St. Simons Lighthouse, where Annie’s dad gifted her with a special ring featuring her late mom’s birthstone and the gold from her mom’s wedding band. It was such a sweet moment and a great opportunity for some photos of Annie and her dad on the island, which is so special to them.
Of course, we couldn’t miss Annie and Trevor’s incredible rehearsal dinner! They had an amazing celebration where they really got to spend time with their friends and family before the whirlwind of the big day began!
The King and Prince Resort is very special to Annie and Trevor. Not only did they get engaged there, but Annie also grew up visiting the resort on annual vacations with her family. They knew immediately that they wanted to get married here and share their favorite spot with their family and friends.
Annie and Trevor’s St. Simons wedding day was everything you could ask for. They started their day with shared private vows in the courtyard, where they got engaged. During their outdoor ceremony, Annie’s cousin played the guitar and sang as she walked down the aisle. Annie even had a special surprise dance with her grandpa during the reception.
It was clear that this day was planned with love and attention to detail. Their custom monogram was embedded throughout the weekend and featured their adorable dog Sofia. They chose to honor Annie’s late mother with an incredible hydrangea display during the ceremony. And I loved that they chose to feature a MOKE car during their grand exit.
I absolutely love photographing weddings on St. Simons Island. From the incredible water views to the five-star resorts, there is so much to love about this coastal Georgia gem.
