Our beautiful town of St Augustine is a DREAM location to tie the knot, and home to some of the best wedding locations in the country. Today I want to highlight the White Room in St Augustine. The White Room is one of our cities premier wedding locations for many reasons. From the wonderful staff, to the delicious culinary choices, and endless photo-ops, the White Room in St Augustine is a no brainer when it comes to planning your wedding in Florida. First, let’s look at the locations within the White Room.
Imagine tying the knot overlooking the bridge of lions and the intracoastal waterway. As horse and carriages, trolleys, and tourists roam the streets you are promising your forever to someone on a romantic rooftop. This is what you get when you book your wedding on the rooftop of The White Room. The rooftop provides you and your guests with a stunning backdrop and a breath of fresh air as you say “I do”. The rooftop is a great choice if you are planning your St Augustine wedding between the months of November and April, when the weather is typically nice.
The White Room’s loft is a great spot for your cocktail hour or reception in St Augustine. The loft is connected to the rooftop via a small set of steps, which provides your guests with easy access between locations. The loft also features beautiful exposed brick walls and stunning chandeliers, The exposed brick speaks to the history of the building while the chandeliers bring in a more elegant feel.
If you are having a larger wedding, the grand ballroom is the perfect choice for your reception. While the loft is a smaller venue, the grand ballroom has a larger amount of seating for guests. With large windows, a size-able dance floor, and a dedicated space for the bar, the Grand Ballroom is a great location to party the night away with all of your family and friends.
The Villa Blanca is a perfect ceremony spot for a more traditional couple. The Villa Blanca is a gorgeous, all white chapel with large windows, wooden floors, and beautiful chandeliers. This is perfect for the couple who wants to feel like they are getting married in more of a church setting.
One of my favorite things about weddings at the White Room is THE FOOD. A lot of times when venues try to take on the responsibility of in house catering, it can be lackluster. That is not the case with the White Room. The White Room provides high quality cuisine at a very efficient pace. All of the White Room staff is hard working, friendly, and knowledgeable about the venue. We always look forward to dinner time at this venue! The all inclusive experience at this venue also relieves the stress of having to find separate vendors for catering, bartending, etc.
The best thing about getting married at The White Room is the endless photo opportunities. With the ideal location in the middle of historic downtown, you have access to a wide range of photo locations. From the waterfront, to the plaza, St George St, The bridge of lions, and more. No photo gallery has to look the same.
As a side note, choosing a photographer who has experience photographing couples downtown is key when it comes to getting married in St Augustine. St Augustine gets very busy on weekends, especially during peak times, so it is vital to choose a photographer who has experience with choosing locations that are best to avoid the crowds. Additionally, if there is any travel involved, choosing a photographer who is familiar with the area ensures that they will allocate the proper amount of time for travel and parking without putting your timeline at risk.
In summary, if you’re planning a wedding in St Augustine, The White Room is one of the best options out there! And if you’re looking for someone to capture all of the magic, we would absolutely love to be considered! Head on over to our “experience” page to learn more about the Nikki Golden Experience.
